Are you sure there aren't settings for turning off the Origin overlay? There should be if you right click on the game's listing in Origin.

Sorry, but it seems like trying to keep Origin from starting at all isn't the right approach. To the OP, I don't have any Origin games to test with. There's no call for you to bring up your own personal rants in his thread.

Very simple and is difference between controllers working like expected and not with ANY pc game launched from Steam client. I reckon you failed to acknowledge the importance of step 2 and step 3. Just minimise Origin client if it annoys you, it has to be running to launch Origin games afaik Game launched fine and controller worked like expected. Just install your game and play it ahh those were the days. Has me reminiscing how awesome Steam client was before Valve announced Steam Universe and Steam Machines. Guess at this point you may need a different controller and do not use Steam or Steam Input, just enjoy your game without hours of troubleshooting and applying workarounds.
